The Isle of Arran is the only island with it’s own brass band, we are a small band with only about 18 full time players and about 8 primary school children who come for the first half of our rehearsals and play simple pieces to help develop them and bring up to the standard to play with the full band, most of the children are cornet players as that is the section we lack in. We currently practice on a wednesday night in Whiting bay Village hall. We attend loal events especially at christmas. We are always recruiting members and our rehearsals are always open to visitors.
