The Brass Animals is the newest group to coalesce out of what’s rapidly becoming the Big Easy of the west coast. True to its roots, they started with a concept to combine the big brass sounds of New Orleans – like the legendary Soul Rebels, Rebirth Brass Band and Youngblood Brass band – and reinterpret classic tracks from your favorite hip-hop, R&B and jazz artists like Outkast, Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Tupac. This 8-piece group features a rich horn section with trombones, trumpet, sax, tuba, keys and percussion and is already making waves in the city with packed shows at 50 Mason Social House, KT’s Fillmore, Bay to Breakers and more.
