Musical Director

Gerard Condon graduated from the Cork School of Music with a Diploma in Trumpet Teaching in 1993. He is a past member of the Cork Youth Orchestra, the Junior National Youth Orchestra and the Senior National Youth Orchestra. He is also a past member of the Irish Youth Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Cork Symphony Orchestra.

Gerard has been the brass tutor with the County Cork VEC Youth Orchestra from 1997-2007 and has also tutored the trumpet section in the Irish Youth Wind Ensemble.  Currently employed as a full time Brass Tutor with the County Cork School of Music he also fills the role of Musical Director with St. Patrick’s Brass Band, Clonakilty, Co. Cork. 

Throughout his career he has taken part in Trumpet Masterclasses with world-renowned soloists John Wallace, Crispin Steel Perkins, Graham Ashton, John Watson and Frank Duppenbecker.  In July 2008 Gerard studied for a week in Tuscany, Italy, partaking in a Trumpet Seminar with Christian Steenstrup and Reinheld Fredrich.
