DuPont Brass is a new, innovative brass band hailing from the D.C. Metropolitan Area. Originally composed of just five music majors from Howard University trying to raise money for tuition during the Christmas season, DuPont Brass has now grown to nine members. Gaining popularity from playing at local metro stations, DuPont Brass has had the honor of playing for numerous weddings, banquets, political events, and much more.
Aside from their event services, DuPont Brass has also performed throughout the city as a featured group with the acclaimed D.C. Jazz Festival. At any moment coming out the metro, you can hear this talented group of young men playing various genres of music from Pachelbel's "Cannon" to John Legend's "Greenlight". Overall, the mission of DuPont Brass is to uplift the spirits of people with their music…not just in the DMV area, but the entire world.
We would like to thank each and every individual has helped us to get to this point. Whether you donated money, booked us for a gig, or bought our music. Every picture, letter, and tweet means so much to us. We would also like to thank every songwriter and performer who's song we covered on this record. The beautiful art that you've created through sincerity and love was incredibly inspiring to us. Every song that DuPont Brass covers is done out of admiration and honor to you. It is our deepest prayer that we can continue to make all of our supporters as proud as we possibly can with the gifts that have been given to us.
