The Junior Band main objective has always been to give the opportunity of learning a brass instrument to any person who has the desire.
It is not just the stepping stone between our Beginners and Main Band, it is very much a band in its own right with concerts and contests to prepare for. The players in the band currently have an age range from 7 to 70 years old.
The most important thing that we try to teach is teamwork and that being in a band is fun and we treat it like a musical youth club.
Lofthouse 2000 Brass Band will supply an instrument and basic tuition. We are always looking for people who want to learn how to play an instrument so if you are one of those people then come on down to the band room for the beginners lessons and join in the fun.
