The Texas Brass Band combines the influences of jazz, r&b and hip-hop music into one unique sound. The Texas Brass in many ways mirrors the tradition established over 100 years ago by New Orleans' Olympia Brass Band. We pay homage to the traditional New Orleans (second-line) style in many of our shows, but that doesn't define us. We are true to the spirit of our predecessors, but as music has evolved through 100+ years of varying influences, so has the music of the Texas Brass Band.

 

We prove through each and every performance that we have a voice steeped in history. Texas Brass Band no doubt had that patio rocking on Friday and Fat Tuesday.....I so enjoyed the music and the atmosphere....I bought a CD I been jamming since I left them. I can't wait for the I-fest to get my front row seat once again to hear the baddest band in the land..........Texas Brass Band bring the funk!!!!!!
